Maureen Denise McCormick, the sole child from Richard McCormick Irene McCormick, was born in Woodland Hills California on 5 August 1956. Her parents were an aunt who worked as an housewife, and her father who taught. Michael Dennis, Kevin and Dennis are her three older brothers. McCormick is always a fan of dancing, singing and performing puppet shows. She won in the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley Contest when she was just 6 years old and was then contacted by Pat Domigan, a talent agent with the Jack Wormser Agency. He requested that she be interested to be a part of the show business. McCormick got her first big job when she was cast as a television character in the 1964 commercial of Mattels newest baby doll Baby Pattaburp. In the following year, she appeared as Chatty Cathy in a commercial which was later adapted for the show Wind It up and It's Broken in the La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick, chosen from more than 200 auditioned kids, played the older of three two-headed daughters, in The Brady Bunch (1969) with Florence Henderson and Robert Reed. This show lasted for five seasons. McCormick wrote in her 2008 book Heres the Story : Surviving Marcia Brady & Finding My True Voice that she was close to having ended her relationship in the fifth season of the show in the presence of Barry Williams, her co-star as well as her on-screen brother. He was 19. She was 16. She told me, but the timing wasn't the right time for us.
